This event is designed to give participants the actionable knowledge on how to better secure their maritime areas of responsibility by highlighting available resources and best practices.

Our guest speaker, Captain Andre Khir is the Managing Director of STET Maritime Pte Ltd. He has been instrumental in leading the Company to become a leading Recognized Security Organization to act on behalf of the Panama Maritime Authority for the approval of ship security plans and conduct of security verification audit for the compliance of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), International Ship & Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code for Panama flag vessels.Captain Andre has been involved in the development of Supply Chain Security management system for shipping companies including it’s security profiling for compliance

with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) criteria.

Captain Andre was the project director and consultant for the development of the National Supply Chain Security Programme which has been named as Secure Trade Partnership (STP) programme and now headed by the Singapore Customs. He was also involved in ISO 28000 on Supply Chain Security Management System with International Standard Organisation (ISO) Technical Committee (TC/8) and had written a book titled “A Practitioner’s Definitive Guide to Safety and Security” for the Singapore Logistic Association.

Capt Andre was also a member of a working group for the International Labour Organisation (ILO) on the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC) and a qualified chief instructor for the ILO Port Development Program.

The target audience for this event will involve those in management industry or government with maritime activities of any sort; including shipping operations and management, ports, carriage by sea, government regulators, and security officers.
